I truly believe that one's disconnection from their body is what perpetuates physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual pain. Cultivating acceptance, curiosity and awareness of one's present moment sensory and kinesthetic experience, one can transform their lives and relationships. By combining guided meditations, breathing practices, restorative yoga, hatha yoga, dance and Body-Mind Centering, one will develop strength, agility, and balance. By getting still and bringing curiosity to the mat, one will find more ease and comfort in their movement.
I am also trained in trauma-informed yoga, which is a body of work that acknowledges memory of trauma stored in the body.
Body-Mind Centering is an integrated movement practice that uses all the body's physiological systems and developmental movement to deepen one's exploration and discovery of body-mind relationships. . I specialize in restorative and therapeutic yoga designed to calm the mind, strengthen and ease the body.
I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). I am currently in a Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training.
